We start our private walking tour by taking public transportation to get to cerro Playa Ancha and visit the Punta Ángeles lighthouse, which is the first lighthouse built in Chile, inaugurated in 1837. From 2020 it is considered Historic Conservation building.

Later we continue our walking to get to 21 de Mayo Promenade, from which you’ll be able to have a great panoramic view of Valparaíso. Here you will have time, if you wish, to purchase crafts and souvenirs from local artisans.

As we continue to walk, we will go down to get to “el plan” as we call the flat part of the city. We pass by the old port; the barrio chino (the old red-light district), La Matriz church and Plaza Echaurren, which are the heart of the port city.
